About Us

Beatroute Disco was first established in 1989, by Brian Smith and Steve White, That's well over 20 years of performing to hundreds of thousands of happy people all over the North East. We are based in Sunderland, but are happy to travel to all the surrounding areas, up to the borders and down to north yorkshire. With our professional manner, sense of fun, and wide musical knowledge we provide the very best in mobile disco and Karaoke entertainment. We have music spanning every decade from 50/50 dancing through to the current chart hits. All of our equipment is top quality, ensuring a great sound and a very impressive lighting show with Haze, Lasers, and bubbles.

We pride ourselves on our flexibility, and don't just specialise in one type of party, although we can make any type of party special. Beatroute has the "Produb" digital DJ licence, we have Public liability insurance, all of Our equipment is PAT tested, and we are CRB Checked. We are always smartly dressed and will conform to any dress code - Black Tie, Fancy Dress, or, of course, anything in between! We are experienced in all sizes and types of event - from a small party in a private residence, Pubs, clubs, through to the Ramside hall's ballroom where Brian was resident DJ for 4 years.

We regularly work at very prestigious venues including Close house country club, Rockliffe, Slayley, Beamish and Wynyard halls, contemporary venues such as the "stadium of light", "St james park" and "tiger tiger" in Newcastle city centre, as well as the usual pubs and clubs. All of our Equipment & lighting effects can be set-up earlier in the day, if necessary, without any additional cost to you, we also carry spare equipment to every job. Beatroute Disco was recently contacted by channel 4 to provide karaoke, for a new tv show quiz called "Relentless" which was Aired on Nov 30th 2008. The very popular TV show "Noel Edmonds christmas presents" asked Beatroute disco to help out by entertaining at a children's party for the flood victims of Morpeth of course we were proud and thrilled to help.

Our many years of experience will make your wedding a success, we will invite your input and make sure you have the right choice of music for your party. We can provide everything that you may require, Microphones for speeches, Suitable lighting and sound equipment for the venue, and professional introductions for the first dance, and cake cutting ceremonies.

We will look the part too, always smartly dressed, and our disco is modern/tidy too, no old fashioned light bulb type boxes.

Just a quick email to thank you for a fab night at the Vermont on Friday! I was a bit worried that the night wouldnít take off with their only been 14 of us but everyone had a really brilliant time and I hope that we were well behaved as everyone seems to have bits of the night missing lol!
